As Sheriff, I will rebuild professionalism, restore trust, and return the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office to its core mission: protecting every community in our county, not just the politically convenient ones.

Below are the commitments that will guide my administration from day one.

I will immediately reestablish strong working relationships with every law enforcement agency in Williamson County and beyond.

Cooperation saves time, saves money, and solves cases. The era of isolated operations and fractured communication will end.

❋ A Professional Partnership With the County Board

I will maintain open communication and a respectful, productive relationship with the Williamson County Board.

The Sheriff’s Office must work with county leadership, not against it, to be effective and accountable.

❋ Modern Policies, Updated Standards

I will overhaul and modernize:
• Policy manuals
• General orders
• Standard operating procedures

Every document will be updated to meet current state and national law-enforcement standards, reducing liability and improving professionalism.

❋ Training That Meets or Exceeds ILETSB Requirements

Every deputy will receive the training required by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board (ILETSB) and where possible, we will exceed those requirements.

Properly trained deputies are safer, more confident, and more effective for the public they serve.

Supervisors will be selected based on:
• Trust
• Demonstrated skill
• Knowledge
• Professional integrity

No political favorites. No insider promotions. Leadership positions will be earned and deserved.

The corrections staff will no longer be treated like second-class citizens.

I will:
• Properly staff the jail
• Eliminate chronic understaffing and forced overtime
• Provide the training corrections officers need and deserve
• Create a culture where corrections employees are respected and valued

A safe, well-run jail protects staff, inmates, and the county from costly lawsuits.

❋ A Proactive, County-Wide Crime Strategy

I will take an aggressive, proactive stance against criminal activity across the entire county, not just in selective pockets that benefit a political narrative.

This includes:
• High-visibility patrols
• Targeted enforcement initiatives
• Quality investigations that produce prosecutable cases
• Pursuing federal prosecution when appropriate to ensure the strongest penalties

Public safety will be the priority.

Use of force is an unavoidable reality in law enforcement. It is often necessary, and it is rarely pretty.

I will explain use-of-force incidents to the public when appropriate, building trust while defending deputies who act lawfully and professionally.

The public deserves clarity, not political spin.
